For the fourth time, DuPont company has awarded us its DuPont Protection Innovation Award 2022 for gloves. The US company produces materials such as Kevlar® and Nomex® for personal protective equipment (PPE). We use both high-performance materials in many gloves for firefighting and technical rescue. While Kevlar® as the inner layer is cut and flame resistant, Nomex® as the outer layer offers protection against heat and flames.
Last year, our fire-fighting model Fire-Fighter AS BG was awarded the prize. The palm of the model is made of a Kevlar®/Nomex® material mix and the backhand made of beige Nomex®. In addition, the knitted cuff was also made of Kevlar®.
Rainer Seiz, Managing Director of SEIZ Group: "We are very pleased that we have once again been awarded a prize from DuPont. This shows that our philosophy of consistently relying on high-performance materials and constantly working on new material compositions is the right one."
The Fire-Fighter AS BG model is a customised glove and is based on Fire-Fighter Anatomic S PBI. This was specifically further developed for a customer project.
